22 October 2004

Our Detachment has officially applied for Charter through the Chain of Leadership and Command.  It is anticipated that we will receive our official status as a full Flotilla as early as November.  Our designation will become Flotilla 10-1 Easton.  We are all excited and proud to be the newest Flotilla in Division 10.

The Committee investigating meeting locations has narrowed the field, and will be presenting its findings at the next Detachment meeting on 27 Oct.  At that time, we will vote on time, day of the month and place for our monthly meetings.  Please attend as this is an important step in the solidification of our new Flotilla.

Also reporting at the meeting we will have the committees representing the official Chartering celebration, as well as news from the Fellowship committee.

Congratulations go to our own Merrill Beyer (OIC), as he has been elected Division Captain of Division 10 for the term of two years, starting January 1, 2005.  Good work (and good luck), Merrill.
